FAQ'S

I don’t usually wear a lot of makeup and I still want to look like me on the day.
Many of my clients feel exactly like this, so there is no need to worry. Your in-depth trial consultation will ensure that you are completely happy with your look before your big day.

I haven’t brought any hair accessories as I am not sure whether I want my hair up or down, is this going to be a problem?
No it’s not a problem at all. I carry some hair accessories with me in my kit, so I will be able to recommend accessories/ornaments and show you what they will look like in both long and short hair.

How is ‘Occasion Make up’ different form every day makeup?
As you will be wearing a very different style of dress to those you would usually wear and you will be having photographs and or video taken, your make up will need to be a little more defined than usual. As a professional makeup artist using professional products and application techniques, I can ensure that your make up will look great and stay right through, from your entrance through to when the lights go down.

If I haven’t any ideas of Hair styles, can you advise me and show me some bridal/prom/occasion hair designs?
Yes of course I can. I can show you lots of different bespoke designs from magazines and from my portfolio.

Can I have someone with me at my trial?
Yes! I often recommend that my ladies have someone who knows them well to attend the session and give their opinion.

Can my mother / mother of the bride / bridesmaid have a trial too for either hair and/or makeup?
Yes! We can arrange a Hair and/or make up trial, but I do request that these are completed on the same day as the bride's trial.

I have a guest / bridesmaid / mother of the groom who lives far away who won’t be able to travel
to/with me for a trial before the day. Can you still do their hair and/or make up on my wedding day?

Yes! Although it is preferable to see a client before the day, I do understand that this is not always possible or necessary.

Do you take a deposit?
Yes I take a deposit of 50% of the total cost of each booking at the trial and a receipt will be provided. Please see terms and payment on the price list page.*

How do I pay for my trial and booking(s)?
It couldn't be easier to book your trials. Simply give me a call and I will book your date and trial session. I will then send you an invoice via post or PayPal detailing what we have discussed with our payment details. If paying by PayPal, you simply click on the link in the email to see your invoice and make your payment through the secure payment system, which ensures you total piece of mind as I will not have access to your credit card details at any time. You will then receive an email to confirm your payment. Alternatively I can accept cash and will provide you with a receipt on the day of the trial.*

I am getting ready / married at a different location to where I am having my trial is this OK?
Yes! All you need to do is provide me with very specific details of where you are getting ready including a postcode and I can meet you there on the day. Please see prices page for terms and travel.*

I am looking at several makeup artists and hair dressers/stylists but would like to book just a trial with you is this possible?
Yes! I totally understand that you may be looking at several options and a wedding trial on its own is not a problem. If you then choose to use me for your special day I will make the necessary arrangements with you. If you have other members of your party who would just like trials before making a final decision, this is also fine too.

What if I need to cancel?
I do understand that life is sometimes unpredictable and for this reason my cancellation policy is:
Cancellation up to 1 month before the wedding: 25% of deposit.
Cancellation up to 1 week before the wedding: 50% of deposit.
Cancellation less than 7 days before the wedding: Full cost of booking.
